Default Bike Loan Question.

Is there any way to talk to the people at Harley Finance (Eaglemark Savings)? I don't want to talk to the dealer, just Eaglemark Savings. Does anyone know how to go about this?

Default RE: Bike Loan Question.

I contacted Eaglemark Bank about a month ago trying to obtainfinance rates and had no luck. They told me you have to go through a HD dealer. How did you make out? I was planning on purchasing a bike here within the week and the dealer quoted me with 8.9% for 60 months and 10.75 for 84 months through Eaglemark Bank and my credit score is over 800. I think that is way to high and plan to finance another way. Has anyone received different rates from a dealer lately?

The higher the interest rate the dealer can get you to pay, the more reserve (kickback) the dealer will get. Meaning more profit on the bottom line.

Default RE: Bike Loan Question.

1) I financed my bike through Eaglemark, through the dealer. When hubby and I first bought our two bikes together, they gave us a rate of 11+ % (we co-signed each other's loans). He has superb credit, I have lousy credit (but getting better). 4 months later I wanted to trade up to my current 1200N, and they basically asked what it would take for me to do the trade that day, and I told them it came down to payments. They got me almost 4% lower! Why didn't I get that the first time ???

2) Called Eaglemark to see if I could refinance with a still lower rate (considering rates are dropping all over the place). They said I had to have the loan a year before they would refinance. I have started to see about trying my bank, although banks don't seem to like doing motorcycle loans.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll probably look into a home equity loan.

I wasat 13.75% with HD Finance, so I refinanced at my credit union for 5.5%. It was fine to get the bike that day, but to stick with the loan for the full term would have been foolish.
