I was on a club run yesterday and noticed our Road Captain having some problems as we were approaching the stop sign at the end of an exit ramp. It seems that the laces of his right boot had somehow become caught in his highway peg and he couldn't get his foot up to the brake or down to the pavement. I've ridden a long time and I never saw anything like it. He was able to get stopped with his left foot down but it took another person to get him loose. So if you wear boots with laces, make sure you tie them so that you don't have a lot of extra lace blowing around.

 

Thanks man! Now I'll be concentrating on my feet instead of the cager who's eating,reading and texting and headin right at me.LOL. That musta been kinda scary! Glad it came out ok.[hr]

 

Yep! I've had that happen. I only wear pull-on boots to ride in now.

 

Guess it's the military in me but I tuck the laces into the boots after they are tied.

I KNEW flip-flops were safer than boots.

 

I would have thought his gremlin bell would have protected him from this.

First day I had my SG, my pants got caught on the heel shifter. Almost got ugly, stopped right then and there, took it off and tossed it into the woods.
