Default Should Whaap stay

I just read Whaaps thread about being reluctant to post this and I opened it he at the age of 73 pulled through from a major accident with his bike and he has decided to not get another bike. Giving the situation I for one can respect his decision. (If you want the details read his thread). Anyway in his post he said that he was also giving up posting / being a member of HD Forums. I think that in this deceision he is wrong!!! He can be a wealth of information for all of us and he should continue to contribute his wit and knowledge etc here on the forum. If anyone knows him personally I think they should try to contact him and tell him to stay.

So this poll is for Whaap!!!

Absolutley! there are guys on here that don't even have a bike. Just cause you choose not to ride anymore that is no reason to leave

Polls kinda lopsided but Absolutely. I think that after 70+ years, and I'm sure a lot of it on a bike, he has more insight to offer than most of us here.

While I'm sure his staying would be useful to us all, I have to say that if I was in his position it might be hard to stick around. I don't wish to put words in his mouth, but while some of you may say it would be selfish for him to leave, I can't imagine what it would be like to have to look at it everyday and not come back to it. Maybe he will, maybe not. Either way its the right way for him. I wish him luck whatever he chooses.
