Not a soul, except for a qualified HD tech making repairs at my request, will ride my bike. Got very pissed someone at work sat on my bike without asking first.

nobody "borows" my bike. My stepson has been the only one that has rode my bike and that has only been once. my brother hasn't been out here yet and if he asked, I would let him. Both of these people have years of riding experience. Otherwise, "hey, get your own bike!!"

Wow. You got guts. My kiddos aren't old enough to ride my bike. But if they were, and wanted to, I would tell them no. Personally, I don't let anyone ride it. I just don't want any unnecessary and totally avoidable issues that could be caused with dropping the bike.
Sounds like your boy is a decent rider. That's good. What is your plan if he lays the thing down? Totals it?

I have one person other than myself that has ridden my bike and he's not a blood relation. But he's been riding as long as I have and I consider him a brother. Other than that I won't let anyone even sit on my bike.... Unless she's HOT!
