Doesn't do a thing for me.

Don't feel sorry for your freind. Driving those two cages is likely all he can handle. Bikes require some hand, eye, finger, foot co-ordination. If he got on a bike and rode with you he would at some point do something really stupid and take you down with him.

RE: Doesn't do a thing for me.
I've had several friends & co-workers call me to come see or stop by to show me their new bikes, usuallyyamahas or others, and I'll always share their enthusiasm for their new bike and pick out things I like, even though I would never own one. It is the thing that a friend would do whether he is into it or not, since you must have been excited about your new bike.
I am also wondering, since you got the POSE, was you friend a Police Officer also?
I'm an officer and if he is, it just goes to the old adage, most cops are dicks.

If you put him on any bike and let travel thru the mountains or along a coastline for a day with the wind at his face and a unobstructed view of the world around him maybe he would understand the simple fact that you ride and he doesn't. Also he would understand the simple fact that it really doesn't matter what's under you but that you are experiencing life in the greatest of way......
Life is Great.....We all Ride!!!!!!.....and at least we understand.....that's all that matters!

Cut him some slack, his nuts are probably safely tucked away at home on a shelf. His old lady probably brow beats him down and he`s developed a negative attitude about everything.Set a new mission for your friendship to get him back into riding and to open his eyes to all the good about it.He may never be able to quit thanking you.

RE: Doesn't do a thing for me.
A friend bought one of the new rocker models and she asked me what I thought of it.
I told her that my opinion did not matter as it was her bike and her decision and she was making the payments. I think she was just seeking a bit of affirmation on the purchase.
She pressed me and said that I should go ahead with what I thought of the bike.
So I told her that it looked like a bar hopper to me and would not suit me for the long trips I like to take. And yes I said it did not do a thing for me. Because it doesn't. I look at them and I just don't feel the kind of connection or thrill I get from a nicely painted Heritage, Road King Classic, or Ultra.
But that's just me.

That don't sound too bad. We have this guy here at work that just can't get outta his nice, neat, safe li'l boxhe calls life. I was the only rider here til they hired this gal last year that rides her own. Anytime we're talkin bikes and ridin, he'll go outta his way to jab some remark at our conversation...even said he gets the same feelin drivin his van cross country. BWAHAHAA! Here's a guy that says he just doesn't see what we get outta ridin...but he gets the "same feeling" from his van. BWAHAHAA! Life's rich ain't it!
