The Kury install of the standard taillight is simple. Just pull off the old one, plug in the new one. Under the seat, find the rear light harness and hook the panacea module in-line with the rear light harness and your done after a few zip ties...
I think mine took all of about 15 minutes to install.

Supposedly the Kuryakyn are made by this company Cheaper than the Kuryakyn. It works well. I run these in my tour pack and they are great. I run the headlight modulator also. People have stopped from pulling out in front of me because of the modulator. With the tail light and the tour pack light no doubt i am stopping.
As for being illegal. NO WAY. I have been stopped in 6 different states. I carry this document that spells out the regs for it.

Every LEO that I point it out to scratches their head calls in and gets a verification on it. So far I am batting 1000.
