Bought a yamaha r6 back in 2000 off ebay. No problems and a smooth transaction and good shipping.

Yes I have. My car (96 Subaru Outback) as well as my 02 WG. I am VERY satisfied but I had someone I know look at it for me. I have my mom look at the car for me since I lived 200 miles away and send the check after he review. I didn't see my Hog until it arrived to me but I had someone better than me look at it. My buddy down in SoCal is a Harley tech so I have him look at it.

I would do it again. I am a trusting person but still cautious. If it feels right do it.

I have bought a number of vehicles off ebay/internet.

I got a 2004 Subaru WRX off Autotrader.com for $16k. Flew to CT to get it and drove it home to NC.

Next was my current truck from Autotrader.com. 2004 GMC Sierra Denali for $24k. I had a buddy drive me to FL to pick that one up.

The last ride I copped online was from ebay. It was my bike and I got it for right at $4k.

I have no problems making big purchases online. I guess the reason for me is that I never pay until I see the item I purchased. Normally they ask for something like a $500 deposit within so many days. I usually get there within 2 days so it's never a problem.

Yes. Bought my 04 883C(860 mi.) from ane-bay dealer in Florida over the winter. Had it trailered to Ohio. Transaction went perfectly and bike was as advertised. I was sweating bullets until it arrived but for $4300 and $400 frt. it was well worth it.

Personally I wouldn't recommend it.

I know people that have and they had good results with it. I am too **** to do that. I would rather see it personally myself. Another option is to find somebody on this forum to go and check it out if the bike isn't a reasonable distance from you and it has to be shipped.

Bought 2 bikes off ebay, only local though. Won the auction and emailed the seller that I would be out the next day with the cash. Both guys told me to take them for a test ride to make sure everything was ok. Both deals worked out great.

I am not sure that I would ever buy a Harley, but I am planning on buying my wife a Shadow when she finishes her MSF class.
