How many of you wear earplugs?

RE: How many of you wear earplugs?
Almost every ride, have been for years.I always keep a multi-pack of soft disposables on the bike and am willing to share. Friends who try them out are usually surprised how much a difference it makes, and even more surprised at how much you CAN hear, traffic, birds, regular sounds that would be missed if not for the wind. My ears don't ring, I can concentrate better, I feel a lot more fresh at the end of a ride, and I may even preserve hearing for tunes and grandchildren in my old age.

Always, unless I'm just riding in town at lower speeds. Wind noise is deafening. On long trips, I listen to music on my MP3 player and use Shure E3C noise isolating in ear monitors. They actually work even better than regular earplugs, when the music is off.
Cheers!

I wear them everytime I hit the highway. In and around town, I don't so I can hear the traffic. The wind noise isn't that bad for me at speeds less then 40 on short trips.

Definitely for long highway rides, especially without the windshield. The wind noise is the culprit. At first, I couldn't hear the engine, etc, but you get used to it. Keeps the ringing away. Around town at low speed they're not as important.

I wear them while I'm sleeping. Every night. Have since Basic Training 23 years ago. Sure helped when the kids were babies, i didn't hear athing.
I only use them riding if I'm not using a windshield.
