I wear them every ride. Custom made by Big Ears. Some of the best money I've spent. Makes the experience that much better, plus, I save what's left of my hearing.

Wear mine almost every ride. Ears take a beating at work and wear them there, too. Keep 2 setson the bike. Get the ones from Lowe's with the carrying case & lanyard for under $3.00. Well worth it. Great for noise from loud trucks and other bikes, wind and even help with the cold.

I used the foam earplugs for a long time. Last summer I was at a rally and had some of the custom ones made for me. That is one of the best things I've done since I've been riding.

I've been using the disposable ear plugs when riding the interstate because of wind noise. I'm going to check out the custom ear plugs, sounds like a good way to go.....

Funny you should ask that question now. First time I've noticed the subject mentioned here. I happened to read an article in Road Runner Mag this month which really got my attention. One tidbit mentioned was that riding with a full face helmet at 65mph is 103db, equivalent to operating a chainsaw. OSHA's safe exposure time for that noise level is an hour.
Once the damage is done it's done. I always knew that whenever any noise is loud enough tocause ringing inears permanent damage was done but I never realized wind noise could have the same effect.
I tried foam plugs for the first time yesterday on a trip down the Garden State Parkway to Cape May at 70-75mph w/ a 3/4 helmet. I couldn't believe the difference. Without the plugs the wind and engine noise was deafening. The simple 29 db foamplugsworked great.
