How many of you wear earplugs?

RE: How many of you wear earplugs?
Without a windshield, I can't tolerate any ride unless I wear earplugs. But with earplugs, I can't hear my bike, the traffic, or surrounding sounds. Thats just not safe. So, in most cases I ride with a quick release windshield. I can hear my bike, the traffic, and the enviornment around me. Been riding since 1968 or so. Just could not get used to the wind in my ears.

Actually had a custom pair made during Bike Week and love riding with them. Reduces wind noise but your and helps if your wife snores at night!

I don't wear them around town but I do wear them on the highway for wind noise. If getting on the highway and forget --I will pull over and use them.

I wear them every ride. Custom made by Big Ears. Some of the best money I've spent. Makes the experience that much better, plus, I save what's left of my hearing.

I dont have any plugs now but I have been considering buying some. My wife already accuses me of selective hearing I wouldn't want to make it worse.

Been wearing custom fitted earplugs for several years now - get a new pair made each year at bike shows or rally's. Probably the only that has saved what hearing I have left - I'velost 30% to 40% of my hearing at several different frequencies from all the stupid things I've done in my life (motorcycles, guns, loud guitar music, etc). I don't even start the bike without putting them in first.

I wear them from time-to-time...
The first time I ever wore ear-plugs (while riding)was a few years back on my CBR. I had on my full-face helmet, and was used to the noise level...That first time out I looked down and was WAY fast! Not being able to hear the motor as well threw-off my perception of speed a LOT.
I remember thinkingthat traffic was moving REALLY slow...then when I checked the speedo - I was doing about 140.
