I get mine at the Mobil distributor. Look them up in the Yellow pages.

If it weren't for them, I'd have to go 2000 miles.

You'd be due for an oil change when you got back.

Argg..... very disappointed in Mobil. Awesome oil.... IF you can find it. Might just switch to Amsoil.
I don't understand why you are so upset with Mobil when it is your local stores that are not selling the oil . . . NOT Mobil. You should have titled this thread: TOTAL BS, A Rant about Wally World .

Yeah...welll...they....umm...they make the stuff so THERE!

I was just disappointed I guess in the lack of recognition that motorcyclists need their own oil blends. The fact that we have to hunt for them is rediculous and that Moibil and/or their distrubuters dont take advantage of the market more.

@ Firetender: is that 15W50, or 20W50 that is the same as V-Twin?

Prolly will give amsoil a try in the future, but I just need oil NOW!

Ask the store manager to stock it. Many times a nice request works and saves a lot of angst.

I've read a lot of threads about riders using the M1 15w50 syn and don't have any problems with it.

I feel your pain. I recently went to Advance Auto to get some 15w50 and there was Mobil1 v-twin. I've been checking every store in a 35 mile radius for years and it finally just showed up in 2 stores. Advance Auto and Auto zone. They actually only had 3 qts and I wanted 4 so they got me the other quart from another store about 4 hours later. I would at least ask, if I were you. Good luck.

No reason to beat yourself up over this trivial crap. Any synthetic designed for air cooled motorcycles will work just fine. I use SYN3 because it goes in all 3 holes and is available everywhere.

Here's a plug for the HDF General Harley Davidson Tech Forums, Oil and Oil Related Topics , https://www.hdforums.com/forumid_222/tt.htm
It's an amazing fount of all things oil. The top section has plenty of good info as a starting point. Take advantage of it.

FWIW, an oil that says it is specifically for air-cooled engines is about 1/16" from being a scam. When one looks at the composition of these so-called air-cooled oils one finds no discernible difference from any other similar quality oil. Bottom line - forget the Mobil 1 V-Twin that is hard to find and over-priced. If you want Mobil 1, get the 15w-50 car oil from Wally World, Auto Zone, or wherever. Firetender knows what he's talkin' about.

Autozone carries it, and if your local one doesn't I'm sure they can get it in a day or two
