This is going to be my first time to Sturgis. Im on a budget, any recomendations for camp grounds or a place I could roll out the sleeping bag?

 

Elk View is one of the cheapest, right on the Interstate so it's loud and no shade. $15-20 a night. Others have weekly rates, so if you're there for the week check them out. Google search Sturgis campgrounds.

 

Lamphere Ranch. Can be noisy at times, showers are actually pretty clean and to food you can buy in the campgroud is pretty good.

 

Buffalo Chip camp ground is a good place to stay and party after dark. Less hassles there than going into town at night. Concert stages and bars on site.

 

Chris' camp in spearfish is quiet and friendly like many others. they have overflow camping that is around $12 bucksa night some shade. Good cheap food and beer.free clean showers, laundry if you need it. also has a free swimming pool.
