Anyone planning to head down to ROT this year from Colorado? I'm thinking about making the trip.

 

Are you talking about the Rebublic of Texas Rally(ROT)? We are all going, but we live about 230 miles from the Rally.

The Republic of Texas Rally in Austin, June 12-15. Google R.O.T. rally and you can get info. Have not been before, but have spent alot of time in Austin and the surrounding area. Used to live in Houston a while back.

 

wbogley - where are you in Texas? I was thinking about heading thruough Amarillo, Abilene and the hill country, then heading into Austin from the west (290?)

 

You are WAY far away from us. We are just north of Dallas, we are going down I-35, Thurs 6/12. We are staying right on 6th street. I think we are going to do the rally during the day and party on 6th street at night.

 

I thought about staying downtown as well - there is a La Quinta that is very close to 6th and Congress. Have you been to ROT before

 

That is funny you said that, I just called the La Quinta...that are booked solid! I did find a few rooms at the extended stay america right there on 6th, but they are almost full.They are not cheap $150+, but to me it is worth it just to park the bikes at the hotel and walk to the bars.Let me know ifyou wantthe number for the hotel, we are always looking for more people to hangwith.This will be my first ROT.
