same, but it's only 8 miles / 15 minutes.

Not a touring bike but I do ride my 1200 as a commuter every day about 90 miles.

Well its not a BAGGER, but my 2007 FXDSE is becomming a daily commuter, I drive about 30 miles a day back and forth to work, but sometimes I have to take the long way just to ride a little further. I have rode in the pouring down rain, 20 degree temps, 15-25mph cross winds, I ride in almost all conditions, call me crazy[sm=idontcare.gif] but I actually like the looks I get from the cagers when its freaking cold or wet and they see me on the bike.

I have to admit I have been riding the King to work much more lately. Although it is spring and that is to be expected. I'll likely slack off bit once the really hot weather kicks in.

75 miles/day for 4 or 5 days a week for me. I hate driving the cage to work. I don't mind the traffic near as much on the bike and I get to use the HOV lane and do 75-85 with traffic.
I drive the cage more in mid summer cuz it kinda sucks to be on a bike on the freeway at rush hour in 110 degree heat...

Of course I live in Seattle area where it doesn't get too cold and snowy nor too hot but I ride a good ten months a year on my RKC. I'm 25 miles from work and find the bike a much better commuter option than my Jeep. December and January are only a day here and a day there months but the rest see me on it most days.

I commuted with the Road King for 2 years and I'm now alternating between the RK and my new Heritage. I like them both very much. They're different and both very enjoyable.
