The one that didn't get away - Hit & Run
Gilbert Police arrested a 47-year-old woman suspected of a hit-and-run collision near Val Vista Drive and Williams Field Road on Tuesday.
Police said Anne Murphy Smith of Gilbert was involved in a vehicle collision with a motorcycle around 6 p.m.
Witnesses reported seeing a Buick Century fleeing the scene after colliding with the motorcycle.
Police said witnesses then followed the driver until police caught up with her near Williams Field and Lindsay roads.
Smith was arrested in suspicion of leaving the scene of an injury accident, aggravated assault and DUI.
The driver of the motorcycle, a Chandler resident, suffered minor injuries. Police arrested the motorcyclist for suspicion of driving with a suspended license.

No valid license probably means no coverage for this guy. However, the liability coverage for the drunk driver will probably pick up the expense. He probably got very lucky this time.

A DUI at 6 p.m.!!!?!? Chicks got some problems. She should get a job!! But atleast they got her, and the biker only suffered minor injuries!!!

Glad they caught her and the rider only had minor injuries out of the deal. I agree with a couple of the posts above, either insurance company will probably look into a way to say he was driving illegally and therefore isn't entitled to compensation for damages. Either way a pain in the ***.
