RE: Real "Biker"
There seem to be a lot of folks out there with self esteem issues.
Got to like these threads.
Someone throws it out there and then you get everybody posting their "motorcycle" resume to see if they get the job. LMFAO
In the great scheme of things, who gives a rats hiney?

Heres my take on it: When you go pick out the beautiful bike you've been wanting and searching for which in my case same as you all happens to be a Harley then ride it home you get that adrenalin rush and feeling of excitement you just cant quiteget anywhere else or doing anything else. As time goes on and you're making the commute to work or trip to the grocery store you're not as aware of what you're transportation is you're just getting from A to B and you happen to be doing it on Harley, stuck in traffic sweating and cussing and dodging cars. But then when you hit the open road not going any place particular or on ride to a rally with tens of thousands of other Harley lovers just like you the excitement and adrenalin is there in full againsame as the first time you rode it home. That is my definition of a biker.
I am a biker.

RE: Real "Biker"
I ride because I love to ride... and I ride alot.I ride in the rain and in the cold. I've done it for 38 glorious years now. I do it for me and for me alone... because it makes me feel alive. Not riding means I'm not quite right with the world and I don't like that feeling. I've never considered myself a bad *** or associated with an MC, but I get called a biker all the time. Why? Because I ride. I ALWAYS ride!
The clothes, the attitudes, the bravado, and all the rest is just BS. Its nothing more than a pitiful mockery of a passionate love for all things with two wheels and the feel of a brisk wind hitting your face and crawling up your pants leg ona cold winter morning. No clothes or brand of bike will ever instill that passion in anyone. It has to come from within... and it can't be torn down, built up,or even judged from the outside. If the passion is there you will know it, and the rest of the world will see it in you. If its not there, you come across as a tattooed, bearded, leather clad clown.
Any more stupid questions?

What the hell, I'll play.
I ride daily, my bike is my primary mode of transport, I ride regardless of weather, my bike gets more personal attention than my wife, I ride a Sportster because I like it, I wrench my own bike, and I don't give a flying flip if someone thinks I am a biker or not.
