I found them to be really helpful and make tire changes and the like very simple without a jack. I now have a jack as I need it for my harley. I think they should add centerstands to the bike in stock form although I am aware it will never happen. What do you think?

Added a Wheedock centre stand to my new RG soon after I got it home and it sure makes it easier to do maintenance and cleanup jobs. I like it just fine.

I think one of the reasons HDs don't have center stands, is the weight of the bikes. A lot of people would have a problem using it.
A friend thought me the proper technique, to put a heavy bike up on the center stand. When I was at work a lot of the other bikers were amazed at how easily I could pop my Yamaha Venture Royal, onto the center stand.
My Fat Boy is lowered in the rear, so I would think a center stand would limit my ground clearance too much. A center stand would certainly be handy if you have a flat on the road.

I've owned several bikes with center stands, none that weighed as much as a Hog. Have actually considered one for my chopper(530 lb) just for the ease of maintaining tires, chains and in general as a "mini" lift.
I like em!

Some people can get the bike on the Wheeldock stand while still straddling it but I sure can't. Wish I could but I've got pretty short inseam (29") and the lever is just too far back for me to get at and still maintain balance. No problems when I'm standing beside however. Just balance the bike with the handle bar and passenger grab strap (the only reason I'm leaving it on), stand on the lever and it pops right up.

First thing I put on the bike was a centre stand. I just didn't feel comfortable with the jiffy. I bought the Rivco one, easy to install and lift up. Plus it gives me more room in the garage, and it's easier to do maintenace and wash the bike. You won't regret it. (never have scrapped it in the corners..)
