Go to Harbor freight buy the ATV jack (its yellow) cost 69.95 every day and can catch them on sale for 59.95. I got 3 of em they work, they are stable, got tie down loops already on them. Plus they are about as low as you are going to find and still be stable. The casters roll easy so you can use them to dolly your bike in the garage ( ride in slip the jack under lift the bike and spin it around no more backing out). For the money and stability you can't beat them.

I traded for a electraglide the other day and was concerned about the jack but I jacked the glde last night to change the rear shocks to the low profile and it did just fine.

I have a heritage classic and I use the Craftsmen Yellow jack you can buy at sears for around $150-$160. The Red craftsmen is the one that I read falls apart.
Jack is a little to high to fit under the bike with the frame protectors on it so All I did was take a 1X12 I had lying around cut off 2 12" sections, put one in front of each wheel push the bike up onto them and the jack fits fine.
I only need to do this when I need the bike totally of the ground, if I want to just get the bike straight to check fluids I can slide it under the left side and jack it just enough to hold it straight.
When you lower it, if you practice a little self control and gently turn the handle it will lower gently. If you grab and give a quick twist it will drop fast.

Sears pro and it goes lower than any of the others as for unstable Ok must be a competor saying that I can get on the bioke on this lift and wheel either of my bikes all over the garage.
And it comes with every thing you need nothing else to buy. Have it shipped to a local Outlet pay no frieght. The red cheaper sears is to high and is not as good. this one is also lighter weight 44 lbs.

RE: Bike Jack/lift
i also have the yellow harbor freight jack....the only thing i did was replace the cotter pins while i was assembling it. ,,,works great and its sturdy as hell....the lock mechanism catches in 2 big cast rows of teeth...not some cheap stamped bumps or welded rods. i wheel the bike around on it and all is good. it lowers fine too. 69 bucks. brian
