I have been looking for one but there is nothing available down this way. Next time I'm on the mainland I'll try them on and if I like it then bring one back. I don't want to buy one without trying on for size.
I must be getting old to start thinking about safety

DOT 3/4 for trippin'[sm=shades.gif]

 

Carbon fiber half DOT or novelty half to semi-abide by the NYS helmet law, really is supposed to be DOT. Don't really like the look of full or 3/4 on a Harley, but to each his own.

I wear a full face helmet all the time. I have had one past incident (a long time ago but still fresh in my memory) where a full face helmet did as advertised. If my face or head had taken the abuse the helmet took I'm sure I would be a different looking person. I'm a believer in full face helmets.

 

Three Quarters. I have a full face, but can't see or hear as well. It's like my head is in a bucket. I feel safer, and enjoy the wide open spaces. Of course I know it's not safer, but there are a lot of things not safer.

 

Been looking at the Shoei flip up full version for those inclement weather days but still lets you flip up to have a quick word without pulling right off. Any one got this and can recommend or not?

 

Arai full face, all the time.

An Arai is my next helmet. It's time to replace my current full face and I like the quality and light feel of the Arai.

You do not have the protection of a full face helmet if that is a consideration for you. Personally I wouldn't buy one because of my preference for full face protection. Although, if they could find a way to offer the same level of protection, I'd buy one in a minute.
