CAST YOUR VOTE!! WHAT KIND OF HELMET DO YOU WEAR?

I didn’t read this thread. I wore a FF for the first 7 years I rode. And I think everyone should for their first 10k miles.
Before I rode a motorcycle, I thought that anybody who didn’t wear a helmet was a suicidal idiot. But after a few years I could see why people enjoy the freedom, and full immersion in the wind. So I compromised and bought a Bell 500 , that I intended to only wear on hot days. But I ended up wearing it 90% of the time. I have a FF that I wear below 45 degrees.
I know a FF would be better if I crash. But my 3/4 is a lot better than nothing.

Missing an Option
Maybe there isn't many that do this but I use one of two helmets based on the ride I am about to take.
Short jaunts around town and through the hills I'll wear my recently acquired HD Pit-boos Bell
Commuting or touring my go to choice is my Shoei Full Face.
I voted Full Face as the 1/2 for me is a new addition.
If there was an option for both I would have picked that.
Cheers

It might be interesting to know how many of the first 176 posters in this thread who chose beanie (or equivalent) helmets are still alive since the thread started in 2006. So many of the FF all-the-time riders like to give anecdotes about why they switched from (more or less) useless beanies to FF, and how glad they are that when they went down, they had their FF on, otherwise, some say, they'd likely be dead. 14 years since this thread was started should provide a fair enough sampling to determine if anyone died from wearing inferior helmets just to appease liberty-killing state laws, or if it really doesn't matter much, if any. Of course, I know of no way to poll the 2006 up to the 2015 posters who stated their preference(s?) before yesterday's necro-thread-resuscitator raised it from the bowels of HDF, but it would be an interesting little factoid stat to know.
Me personally, I hate wearing helmets, but I hate even worse not having the choice whether or not to wear one. My only choice is to wear the most light-weight, unobtrusive helmet that will force law enforcement to find another (made-up?) reason to pull me over, so I wear a beanie, non-DOT-approved novelty helmet. So far I've been fortunate in my 28 years in Alabama - never been pulled over on any of my bikes even once here, though I have been in other states where non-DOT-types are, well, non-allowed. Have not been ticketed even in those instances though. I must lead a charmed life.
