With a windshield, I also do not get pelted by bugs, rocks or debris. My eyes do not water and so on.
I wore a full face helmet back when I was younger and rode sport bikes. Now that I'm old and slow, I wear a half helmet and use a windshield.

Mostly my full face. It has Bluetooth for listening to my music or satellite radio, answering phone calls or intercom communication with my fellow riders.
On short trips, I like a half helmet. I'm in a helmet state, so going without is not an option. Although I wore a helmet back in the day for any trip more than a mile or two.

Full face. My first helmet was a 3/4. Then I spent many years road racing in full face helmets and now anything else doesn't feel right. Bounced my head off the east horseshoe at Daytona at about 60mph in practice and still have all my teeth. Full face for me...couldn't care less about what 'Harley style' supposedly dictates.

For the last 3 years I have been wearing a Scorpion EXO-900 Modular which I will be retiring for their new EXO-GT3000 Modular as soon as Revzilla gets them in stock in my size and color. By the time all is said and done it'll be about $380 with free shipping to Hawaii. I anticipate that with all of the improvements it will be even more comfortable and offer more protection as well.
I'll let you know how I like it after I have had a chance to wear it on some rides. I was told that they should be available by late Summer or early Fall. We'll see... In the meantime...
