Default WTK: Best Disc Brake Lock

I'm thinking about buying a disc brake lock and would like suggestions from others.

My HD dealer carries the Kuryakyn and Master but I know there are others. What should I be looking for in a lock and are they worth it? I've already got the factory alarm and would like some additional protection.

Thanks in advance.

I like the Zena because it has a motion sensor, too.

It's not zena, it's XENA, and it has a built in alarm. Some say the alarm won't stop thieves, but if I hear mine going off, Mr. Glock will be with me!

More important than the alarm feature for theft protection is...

when you start the bike, the vibration will set it off, and you will remember to take it off before leaving!

I have had the Xena for about 6 months now and it has been great. Yes the motion sensor helps out not having an accident while taking off. I did own a Kryptonite New York disk lock which is a very tought lock although I still prefer the Xena.

Whatever you get be sure it has a honkin' big REMOVE BEFORE FLIGHT !! tag on it so you and your scoot don't end up on your lips.

I have a plain old disc lock on my front rotor. Alarms are good, but they can be disabled and the bike rolled away. At least with some sort of a disc lock the bike won't be so easy to move if the wheels won't roll. And yes, get yourself a brightly colored reminder, never can be too careful. My disc lock came with a long bright orange tether that clips over the handlebars as a reminder. One other thing about the colored reminder is that it is a visual warning to any potential theives that you have a lock. It may make someone looking to boost a bike to look at someone else's that is an easier target.

Bottom line is that if someone wants your particular ride bad enough, it's gone. The only thing you can do is make is as unattrractive a target as possible.

So ... is the Kuryakyn disc lock one of the better ones? Other than the Xena, what are my options?
