Default Petite woman looking advice on HD purchase

Any ideas? I very badly want to buy a HD, interested in the Street Bob or Low Rider...however..I am 5'2, 100 lbs. I cannot flatfoot on the Street Bob. How much will a lowering kit bring it down?Other suggestions?

Yeah, pictures would help. Consider a lowering seat too. A seat can make all the difference in the world (up to as couple inches)

You might want to take a look at the Night Rod. It's very low andlighter than most of the Harleys. It also has mid mounted pegs which are easier for a shorter person. Loads of fun to drive, too!

+1 on the seat. Also remember that a lot of them can be trimmed.

I have a friend that is 5'. She got the Deluxe, lowered it, put a lowered reach seat on it, buckhorn bars, and has no problem riding the bike.

Go try out all the bikes you like, see what fits you best and no matter which one you choose, you can do what is necessary to make it a good ride for you. No picture necessary!!!

Lots of luck! Have fun.

Check out the Dyna Lowrider. Also you can lower just about any bike, my Fboy below is lowered, I am 6', I just like a lower center of gravity. If you do go full size you might want to purchase the "Ride like a Pro" DVD,,or you can check it out on Youtube. The series features women on full-dress HDs controlling 700 lb. bikes by using the principles in the video. Take care.

If you have been riding for a long time then you do not need to worry about being able to flat foot a bike. If this is your first bike then you mike consider looking for a used 1200 sportster or even an 883. They are lighter and sometimes faster when tuned right. You can find used ones for under $8000.00.

You will need to go to the dealership and sit on a bunch of bikes and then see if you can test ride or borrow a bike from a friend.

Good Luck!
