Any ideas?&nbsp\\; I very badly want to buy a HD, interested in the Street Bob or Low Rider...however..I am 5'2, 100 lbs.&nbsp\\; I cannot flatfoot on the Street Bob.&nbsp\\; How much will a lowering kit bring it down?&nbsp\\;Other suggestions?&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;
Tanya,
&nbsp\\;
With the description you gave of yourself, I think you'd find the Ultra Classic to be the perfect ride\\; it's a very comfortable and&nbsp\\;enjoyable ride.&nbsp\\; Also, the seating would be perfect for you...more specifically the back seat of MY Ultra Classic.&nbsp\\;

One thing I learned from Tanya's post...
&nbsp\\;
Start all of my posts with "Petite Female needs info..." and I'll get hundreds of replys! &lt\\;laughing&gt\\;

&nbsp\\;
I hope she did and as I want to see her on the road many years from now I hope she visited some non-Harley shops to see what kind of options were available.&nbsp\\; I don't typically make blanket statements but it is my opinion that very few if any petite 100 pound women should start out on a Harley.&nbsp\\; I've helped several ladies over the years become riders and their first bike was their decision based upon what felt right to them.&nbsp\\; Everyone of them selected a smaller, lighter bike that they didn't have to struggle to control.
&nbsp\\;
If it isn't too late I've got two words:&nbsp\\; Honda Rebel
&nbsp\\;
Ride safe and often.

My wife is a petite lady, 5 foot 2. She rides a heritage softail classic with the rear lowering kit and has no problems getting on, putting her feet on the ground, or riding the bike. The rear lowering kit is not expensive. She had a hard time reaching the jiffy stand however but I made her an extension that reaches rearwards and now she has no problems.

Agreed ds.&nbsp\\; Thats why I'm looking for a Rebel type scoot for my wife to start out with.&nbsp\\; And in the meantime I'll keep the softail running good for her......

I did get a bike!&nbsp\\;I went with the Nightster . I'm enjoying it thoroughly,&nbsp\\;I love it!&nbsp\\;I can see myself putting some time/money into another&nbsp\\;bike down the road (to lower) but&nbsp\\;at this point,&nbsp\\;I'm very happy!! I just hit 1000 miles, woohoo! I can plant my feet, back it up/move it around, and I feel in control riding..I think it was a good place to start.&nbsp\\;Thank you!!&nbsp\\;
