WooHoo - 110 Octane

RE: WooHoo - 110 Octane
My C/R is about 10.2:1 on a SE setup, and 91 works fine - no pinging. When I was young and naive, I worked at an airport and put 100 avgas in my Plymouth Duster. I swore it made it into a racing machine. Price was right though.

I'm not sure about the lead content. But, higher octane reduces spark knock because it is slower burning. It may increase fuel economy as a side effect. So, depending on how you look at it, you could say it provides more power to provide better economy.. Either way, just saying your bike runs on race fuel sounds gool in some venue's....

I put 100 in my HQ 95 and my bike ran like ***! I would have to lean the carb out alot to get that stuff to run in my bike.

It will actually perform worse without propertuning for it. I actively run a bracket car that runs on 110. The only thing this fuel does is eliminate detonation ina high compression engine. Unto itself this fuel makes no additional power. To take advantage of it whenyou need it, you must ad several degrees of timing advance to get thesamepower out of it. 110 has a slower flame front on it as mentioned. As a result you would make more power with a faster flame front fuel that does not detonate the engine. And that is the facts.
Yea, it smells funky, But if you were to test these two fuels back to back with the same tune, your bike will makeless power with 110 versus 98 Octane. And yes its for off road use only..... Its leaded. Do not spill it on your paint. This stuff is hard on it!

When I have money to throw away, I will sometimes add a bottle of X-1R Liquid Nitrous Octane Booster, it Contains MMT, Nitromethane and POWER-X. It actually make Bob run a little better and its only two bucks.
I also run RXP now and again, while not a true octane boost, it makes all your fuel burn resulting in added performance you can feel, not a BIG boost but noticable.

Normal opps 93 octane suits me fine, if Im feeling spunky tuning the accelerator pump and running the above is fairly impressive at WOT runs, and if I remove the baffles it does performe much better for an almost stock machine.
