from the harley websight, 08 base prices in Britain...pound = 1.99 US as of today

AFAIK Britain is considering adopting the euro, but hasn't yet converted. The pound sterling still rules Britannia.

 

Ok sorry, I fixed it, the result is aneven higher price since the values on the websight are in british pounds.

 

I think I will just stay in the USA the prices are high enough here for me

You have hit the nail right on the head! what you pay in Dollars we have to pay in pounds (Twice as much) for nearly anything you tend to buy.

Trouble is that this country is slipping rapidly into the Abyss with a massive influx of immigrants which are depleting our social welfare budget creating a massive shortfall. there is talk of the Pension age going up to 70 before you can retire. I hate to think what the prices would be by then !
