A friend of mine, Bob from Wilmington always would ride to to Smaltz's because he liked him so much. He told me last nite about Stretch and was telling me stories how if you ever rode with him you better be ready allow alot of time because of he loved to talk to everyone. He didn't care who you were he loved to talk. Bob just bought a bike an 08 Ultra from him two months ago and I had looked forward to meeting him. Sounded like a hell of a guy! RIP. He'll be missed by many friends.

I work less than a half mile from Smaltz's HD. This is an email that was forwarded to all employees where I work. The fact that Strech was mentioned by name in the traffic bulletin shows how much respect this area has for him.
