DO YOU COUNTER-STEER?
CURIOUS. How many of you use counter-steering predominantly?
When I learned to ride (way back when)I never did. Of course, I never used the front brake either back in those days.
But about 3 years ago a pocket rocket friend of mine gave me a book to read on riding techniques. I've been counter-steering ever since. MORE IMMEDIATE and EXACTING CONTROL especially in exigent circumstances.
I have a bud who doesn't believe in it. But, he's stubborn old school.

Me neither but didn't for a long time. I guess the courses teach it (CHP). I saw a pic of a guy highrolling on a bagger on the forum about two weeks ago. Would have saved his butt. I'll try to find the pic and post it in the poll.

wouldn't you just be riding in parking lots, or in a straight line without using it? I don't see how it is possible to not use it the faster you go.

Well, if you don't counter-steer, the bike won't lean over and you won't turn. So you're going to get only yes answers in your poll.
