They're installed improperly. Directions say they should be facing each other and touching. Oil can sometimes be used to preventfriction. Plus, the packaging needs to come off.

Good used ones can be found pretty easily. But, watch out for anything that has been heavily modified or has excessive mileage. Don't be fooled by an expensive package or paint. As one other forum member noted, always remove packaging to inspect thoroughly.

Yep, they're installed wrong. They're supposed to be facing each other and giving each other a 500 mile service.

Those could potentially be the most expensive things ya ever put on yer bike. Once you take off the packaging it will cost ya one way or the other!
