Am I the only one who finds this really sad,,,,there are no less than 214 warnings and cautions in my 08 manual,,,the only one missing was the one that said "refrain from riding your Harley Davidson because it may cause death or serious injury".....Geez!!!

 

Unlike I did with my Harry Potter books, I skipped to the end of the owners manual to where all the good stuff was.

 

It doesn't seem like too many do with all the questions like, how much air do my tires take? or how much oil do I need?. the tech section would almost be empty if most folks read their manual.

 

There's probably a warning about reading the manual that implies death or serious injury may occur.

 

The lawyers make them put all those warning in. Just look at ladders now and all the warning stickers. Thats the reason every thing cost so much anymore nobody want's to take responsibility for their own mistakes. Sorry didn't mean to rant.

read mine in 06 but not since. it did have a lot of warnings

I made a joke of reading it on the 700 mile drive back from the dealership when I picked it up.... We were laughing pretty good.

 

I had a hard time getting the meat of the subjects out of it because of the number of warnings. Why don't they have the manual discussing the important stuff then an appendix of warnings.
