Can I use my Sears red mc lift to remove the rear wheel on my 05 EGC. I need to replace the rear rotor and it looks like I can do this with out needing the wheel to clear the bike entirerly. If this lift will get the bike high enough for the job what's the best way tosecure the bike for the balance change as the rear wheel is removed.

I can't believe I'm going to reply to another Sears red jack thread.

Just be sure to put the jack forward under the frame. In other words, get it a touch tail-heavy before you remove the wheel.
I like to strap the bike down to the jack with regular tie down straps after it's already in the air, but a lot of guys don't do that.

+1 on strapping after jacking. If you place the jack properly, the bike will be balanced and you can strap it safely.
Some here have mentioned that the Sears red lift didn't have adequate clearance to fit under their bike. I have a yellow so I can't comment on that.

If it has positions that lock, make sure it is in one of them. Ditto on securing the bike to the jack. I've got mine totally off the floor now with both wheels removed, getting new tires put on.
