My guess is a 1942 WLA. There were loads of these surplus available after the war and the date on the back of the pic along with the front end and makeshift fairing make me think that's a good guess.

I think it's an early 40's WLA. I don't think it is a Knuckle, but I could be wrong. Front pipe doesn't look like it's right spot for a knuckle.
