Default Ok, I did it.

OK a couple of firsts on Saturday.

1. My sweeting and I went to Tucson and back on FireHawk.

Half way (there abouts) at Picacho peak.

And I dropped the bike at a hospital parking lot. I was trying for a parking space with my sweetie still on. Fell over on the right side. No one hurt, FireHawk scratched up a little bit.

Bent my brake lever. I managed to bend it back some. I can live with it until I get the money up for flamed control levers.

Scratched the crash bar. Slight scratch on floor board and edge of lower.

Scratched rear crash guard.

Discovered that I need to move the tour pak back a bit. (I was riding more forward on the saddle. My butt is sore today ) I ordered a tourpak relocater today and pikced up highway bars so I can stretch out some.

All in all not too bad for the weekend. Its over with, I dropped it.

Yuck, you high sided it[:@]. I hate going over on the right. Can't tell much from the pictures. What's it gonna take to fix it?

Your probably caught the message while I was editting.

I think all I really need to do is replace the control levers. I wanted to do that anyway.

Been there done that. But hey...scratches on the engine guard are 'ok'. That's what they're there for. Looks like it could've been a lot worse

Yup, I'm not upset that I dropped it. When she started over I was on a slight angle in the lot. Knew real quick that I wasn't gonna hold it with my sweetie on board. I bailed before I could get trapped under the bike and my sweetie pulled her leg up and rode the bike down and skuffed her right glove. I was amazed how easy FireHawk was to pick up. We rolled her up off of the crash bars and she stood right up. (its easier with two people pushing)

I think I got off very lightly.

I have the feeling that "FireHawk" shall rise from the ashes better then ever!

So it is written, so it ...shall....be.

Glad you and your lady are OK. Poop happens to all of us sooner or later. Better in a parking lot at a near stand still than on the freeway with cars behind you. Again, glad both of you are ok. Scratches are a badge of courage

I know the feeling Firehawk. I'm glad that neither of you got hurt. I dropped mine a week ago and only one week after buying my new Road King. It was a slow motion drop as I just backed out of the driveway at my friends house. I was lucky that he was only a few feet away and he helped me get it back up pretty quick. All I did was put a slight scratch on the under side of the engine guard but I couldn't believe I did it and the bike was only one week old. I can feel your pain even though mine didn't suffer any real damage.
