I run straight pipes on my standard and have never had a problem. Just stay out of the throttle when you should and open her up when you are away from populations.

 

Never had a problem here. Just don't act like a nimrod and you'll be fine.

 

Ditto on what others have said. Mellow through Carefree and Cave Creek, and Jerome. I think thattwisting the throttle while stopped or slowed, engine braking and fast acceleration in those areas is unwise and might draw LEO attention to you.

Never had an issue in greater Phoenix area. Just make sure youcarry frag grenades to throw into the windows of the feral youths playing their whopping bass rap **** and you'll be OK
