MAUI JIMS - MAUI JUNK!

MAUI JIMS - MAUI JUNK!
I have had some good sunglasses over the years but the Maui Jims I bought a few years back are junk! $350 and they have gone in for repair 3 times (this will be the 4th - maybe). I guess the constant shuddering from the wind destroySthe frame hinges. And, they don't back them up.
WHOSE A COMPARABLE SUNGLASS MAKER THAT WILL HOLD TOGETHER?

I have some Black Flies that are around 20 years old. Been in once for reconditioning. They're alittle small for riding (no wrap/cup). Guess I'll try Ray Bans.

I never knew sunglasses cost $350. I wear $80 Ray Bans. Never had a problem.

I got Lasic on both headlights and the Dr. said, buy the best you can. Guess price doesn't allways equate to quality.

I liked my Oakley M Frame Pro. The Pro does not have any hinges to wear out. Had mine about 14 years before I lost them jumping off a moving boat.

Jeez I'm almost embarrased to say I buy $20 sunglasses and replace them about every year. Last fall I got buy one pair get one free so they cost me $10 each. At least I don't have to worry about losing them.

I have to step in here and disagree about Muai Jims. I as well have a High end pair and have been wearing this same style now for about 7 years. Yes things happen and they have been known to break. But every time something has happened to them I send them back to Maui JIM with an $8 check and they send me a brand new Pair. They are after all sunglasses and not expected to last for ever. But they do stand behind their product, And I would not hesitate to purchase from them again. And no I am not affiliiated with Maui Jim in any way.
