I have a pair of $3.99 KB's that I've had for years. Work fine.
Be sure to check back with us in a few years when your eyes are shot to h***.
Inexpensive 'sunglasses' don't block UV rays, but they're real effective at dilating your pupils and allowing more of the UV rays they don't block in to do damage to your eyes. Not good.

Above is true. Good glasses are well worth the money.

According to my dealer I bought my Maui Jims from....you can get the glass Maui Lense "ballistic coated" which would mean the glass would not shatter when hit with a rock or what not. I belive he said you send the glasses in to Maui Jim's and it is like $100-$200. He said he had his coated and wears them on his Busa. I was sold on hearing stories of Maui's Customer service. Have not yet inquired about getting that coating on there though....or to know if it is true
I don't know about adding the coating, but the glass lens design has plastic between two pieces of glass. The outer lens on mine were pretty jacked up, but the inner is perfect. I took at rock at about 70.

I require prescription sunglasses, and they don't run $350!! Assuming you're 20/20, I'd be considering $20 shades in the future. Not to tell you have to spend your money, but I can think of better ways to part with $350, particularly if they are garbage quality sunglasses.

You gotta be kidding me, even $100 is too much to pay for a name on a pair of sunglasses. I thought people only wasted that much money on way overpriced tennis shoes.

I like my 20.00 Foster Grant Iron Man series, I lose/break too many to spend the big bucks

Haha, so I've bought 4 pairs of FG Ironman's just in the last 6 months since I broke my Maui Jim's.
My Revo's lasted 4 years. My MJ's will do at least that. So you see, the cost is the same, but you get superior optical quality, 100% UV protection and polarization which helps me ride longer regardless of the concerns people have of not being able to see water on the road.
