Rode to work this morning
The weather here in Portland has been rainy, cold and miserable for months. Then, out of the blue (literally) comes a sunny day. It was still a bit cold this morning at 6:30 when I left the house (around 40 degrees), but knowing it's supposed to hit 70 today, I fired up my scoot and rode in to work. It's nice to finally arrive at work with a smile on my face.
The wife and I are planning to take a ride up the Columbia River Highway tomorrow to Cascade Locks. I'm beside myself with anticipation.

We've been getting cold, rain, snow, hail or a combo here as well. Temp about the same this A.M. when I left for work. Won't get to 70 degrees here but that's alright. Just glad to be in the saddle again.

RE: Rode to work this morning
This is the first day I rode to work without my heated jacket and gloves. With diesel at over $4.00, I ride in to work in any weather condition except snow and ice.

Today was my first day riding to work also. My wife asked why I was leaving earlier than usual because she assumed I was driving my truck. I told her I was taking the long way to work so she knew what was up. Better than the second cup of coffee.

RE: Rode to work this morning
I rode to work most everyday all winter. This week I have not had to wear my heated jacket. The last six months 6,000 miles. I am looking for some better riding time to come.
