If this is so, Harley must be planning some HUGE 100th anniversary bikes/events/marketing. I mean, if they focus on a 105th anniversary (I still don't quite understand the significance of a 105th anniversary anything. 25 years, 50 years, 100 years...but 105 years? So what? Ah well, a shortcoming of mine no doubt...) what about THIS anniversary?

 

They sold alot of the 100th in 2003 did not want to what another 25 years they also had 95th bikes. the only premium i seen on them is when you purchase them.

 

They're missing the boat by not putting out an anniversary model every year.

 

Aw man, what's next? Copper colored engines?

What happens in 5 more years? 110th Anniversary bikes with 105th anniversary motors??

 

Next year is going to the the 105th anniverary again because they cant sell the copper bikes. The dealers are still loaded with them.

 

My whole family was out in Orlando last week (grandmother passed away), and I asked my uncle about it (he works for HD up in Milwaukee). He said they will pretty much do anniversaries every 5 years, and have been since well before the 100th (I believe he said they really started it back at the 75th anniversary, 1978). It just hasn't been as big a deal previously, probably because the 'Harley bandwagon' wasn't really jumped on to at the level it is today.
