What is a guardian bell and what does it mean.

No bell on my bike. I guess nobody ever thought to buy me one.

 

I do now, After a bad crash last may a friend of mine gave me one. I put it on the right side of my frame as close to the road as i could get it.

My wife bought mine and it has a cross on it. It is on the frame. She wouldn't let me bring it home without it.

 

I do have a guardian bell and it has a set of wings on it. Funny that i read this thread today because the bell saved my a$$ today. Here is what happend. My wife and i were headed west today on the highway for a ride to Pismo Beach and it was really early in the morning, we were cruising along and suddenly i see a car fishtailing around like it is on ice. Suddenly i figured it out. A diesel truck lost a full load of oranges and they were all smashed up about an inch or two thick on the roadway so i had to act fast, I let off the gas and pulled in the clutch and coasted through it about 50 yards of it and the SG was all over the place fishtailing like crazy, wife and i thought that was it then suddenly regained traction and was under control. I have been riding for 20 years and have never had to deal with such a thing. That dang little bell came through for the second time for us!

I have one thats hanging below the right front floor board. so far so good

 

I have one on the front left down tube, close to the ground.
