Default Who Rides With A Guardian Bell?

Dang gremlin pushed my bell under frame! Son bought mine, with eagle on it, salesman put it on left floorboard mount. Thought it seemed to be a little too close to frame, but, round bell round frame, would just roll right off. Right? Not always!
My lady and I were in some good twisties in Arkansas when bell got jambed between pavement and frame, jerked bike off course. Luckily I managed to recover before hitting cliff wall at 50mph.
Just wanted to pass this on to everyone that has their bell on their floorboards. It can happen.
Mine is in center front now.
Ride safe, ride long.

I bought one for my wife and she bought the same one for me. "May you never ride faster than your angel can fly"

I was given one last month by some friends.
So I guess I do now.

My best friend, known as Lil' bit, gave me one. It is hanging on the lower cross brace below the triple tree. It has the face of Jesus on it. I gave her one with an angel.

Is it something that someone is supposed to purchase for you, or can you purchase one for yourself?

My previous owner of my bike gave me one and then my kids purchased me one, so I passed on on to a friend. Can't hurt, I say never ride with out one.

Someone asked, Yes, it should be given to you.

All the guys I ride with have them. They told me it has to be given to you by someone, not purchased by you. That was 3 years ago and I still don't have one....I think a message is being sent.
Brother in law just bought a V-Rod last week and my sister shows up with a bell. She askes me if I have one, told her my tale of woe, still don't have one!

Default Bell

It’s supposed to be more ‘powerful’ if someone gives it to you!

I hung my ‘flying wheel’ bell just in front of the engine, on the down tube….I’m guessing it gets ‘powered up’ by that big V-Twin.

This past weekend I was driving my Ultraglide Classic on a blacktop road, heading into the sunset, when suddenly the black top ended and I found myself on extremely loose gravel….going 70mph! Fish tailed, but was able to keep the bike up and gain control…the only consequence was a small rock chip on the front of the tank, which will remain un-touched up as a reminder to myself to not be a dumbass and drive like I know the road….when I don’t! Conclusion: The bell works, even if you’re stupid!
