My sales manager at work just gave me one yesterday, a bell.

I laid down my bike last month and he thought I should have it.&nbsp\\; It's mounted on my right highway bar,just below the flat spot ground into it. [sm=shades.gif]

 

Ok, a little story. I got my first Harley back in 1999.&nbsp\\;I was an E5 back then stationed at Point Mugu, Ca. I found an 88 Heritage down south of LA about 50 miles. Took the bus down to get it.&nbsp\\;On the way back the gas line came off, that was a quick fix but still enough to shake me up. Next was the ground to the coil. It was dark by that time and I had to push it up to the INS check point.

I called a buddy to come get me but by the time he got there i had the bike fixed and running.&nbsp\\;5 miles up the road it died again when the neg battery came loose. I told my dad (an old timer) i needed a bell. He got me one that said first class only. First Class is an E6 in the Navy. the next cycle I picked up First. The bell did its job well on that old scoot and kept me up on two wheels for over 120K on old girl.

 

but i have not been able to pick up chief (E7) for 6 going on 7 years now. I decided that the bell had to go. I ordered my Ultra out here from Afganistan and my Wife got me two bells. one with the USN on it and the other says CPO. I just hope that if i do get selected no one in the mess sees it before the initation is done. LOL. Get my bike and the bells in a little over a month.

 

Nope,&nbsp\\; two good friends, (Harley Techs) both tell me every severly wrecked bike they work on has had a bell.&nbsp\\; Would rather put my faith in GOD and myself to stay out of harms way.

&nbsp\\;wot a lot ov tosh? bell my rs did u hav the bells when u started ridin? no eyes ears &amp\\; witts keep u safe, what happens if the bloke in the car about 2 pull out on you has got a bigger bell

 

We picked up a Heritage for my wife last Friday and I promptly bought her a bell and tied it on for her.&nbsp\\; It can't hurt.
