A friend gave me mine, right floorboard. I've ridden for approx. 10 years+ and never really had too many "Oh my God I'm going to die" moments. This year I have had several (Deer, tire exploding in front of me etc.). My friend gave me the bell (my first) and the rest of the summer has been uneventful.....I thank God for that, but the bell can't hurt

I have 2 of them, each floorboard, also got one at the house given by a relative, but have not taken it to him for he to put it on as of yet. Got a question, heard that who gives it needs to put it on? Also, what if i take one off and put the new one on, any supersttion on that?

I had a bell hanging on a leather strap on my front wheel hub of my '87 Custom Softail before it was the rage. When I would pull in a parking lot going slow, I would see people looking around as if they dropped some change on the ground LOL....
I had one on my Road King and although I had my drops and scratches, it seemed to do it's job. I put one on my '06 Road Glide and after a trip to RI, I noticed it was gone but the leather strap was still (and is to this day) looped on my floorboard mounting hole. I guess I ground the sucker off. Oh well, when one of my Buddies decide to get me a new one, I'll put it on.
I just got back from 4 days of riding in NC (Dragon, Cherahola Skyway, etc) and made it back, only left the road once.......
