Default Myrtle Beach Bike Week

Is any one going? I have a buddy that wants me to go with him. Just wondering if it's worth the trip.

I guess it kind of depends on how far it is for you. I like the fall event better myself. Going to Myrtle is one of the few things I miss about living back East. AZ is a little far for me to go. If I could take off 2 weeks from work I'd still consider going in the fall.

I'm in Wi. And considering the way the weather has been I'm thinking of going.

If you have never been, it's worth the trip. We go every year because it's only a 4 hour ride for us. Same things there every year but we have fun. Usually see alot of people we know. To see it all, you'll need 4 or 5 days because it has grown and covers from North Myrtle dowm to Merils Inlet and a bunch of stuff is going to be at the new theme park located where Waccama Pottery used to be. I think it would be a good trip for you.

I'd say it worth going once but to be honest, if you've been to any major events, Laconia, Sturgis, Daytona, there is nothing different that you will see at MB Bike Week except for the SC scenery. I don't find MB to be biker friendly in that there isn't any "great" riding in the surrounding area and I also think, and this is a personal opinion, thatthe roads in MB are the most dangerous that can be found at any major bike event.

With that said I probably will spend the 2 or so hours it takes me to get there and go for aday.

Well I decided that I'm going to go. Been to Sturgis and Laconia. My friend just happens to be doing the waterpark in the new theme park being built. We will be staying in his condo. So maybe a few of us can hook up. Hoots

We are riding to MB leaving from PA on May 10th, and leaving on May 16th. It gets more crowded the last weekend ( 16th through the 18th ).This will be the second year. Had a great time last year. The event is spread out over 10 miles. There is alot to see and do. Traffic is not to bad considering how many people that are there. You can ride hwy 17 versus buisiness 17 to get to different parts of MB.

The ride down and back was just as much fun as being there. We spent a fair amount of time at Murrells Inlet. Suck Bang Blow and The Beaver Bar are right next to each other. Beers were Two bucks apiece.
