Out riding around tonight and at the end of the ride I had to go to K-Mart to get new shoes and some milk for my kid. On the way there, two guys in a pick-up are trying to talk to me out the window and are pointing at my bike. I couldn't understand what they were saying so I just nodded hello and kept cruising. I figured they liked the bike (blacked out FatBob).

Then, the truck pulls in front of me. I put my turn signal to pull into K-Mart. The guys in the truck see this and turn in there too. I lock the bike up and go in to buy my stuff, and the two truck guys are just hanging around the outside. They don't go in.

If they wanted to compliment me on the bike, they could have while I was on my way in. Which makes me wonder: I have a decal of a Black Shamrock on my derby cover. (in sig pic) Is it possible these guys interpret the decal as some kind of support club symbol? The guy in the truck was pointing down to my bike and I wonder if he had an issue with that decal?

Maybe I'm just friggin' paranoid? FWIW, this happened in the west side of Cleveland, so I'm not aware of any club significance with a black shamrock on the bike.

Whadda you guys think about this nonsense?

 

i would just laugh it off, they were probably justcheckin out your bike, in my short time on this planet i have learned that when someone is really pissed at me.....im usually the first to know.....unless its a woman!

 

Why the hell would you walk inside and leave your bike with these two clowns eye-ballin' it? Did it not occur to you that they were possibly thinking about loading it up while you were inside?

The thought did cross my mind, so I parked right in front of the doors (in plain site of all) and locked igition and forks, bailed as soon as I got my stuff.

 

Maybe you had toilet paper stuck to the bottom of your boot?

 

Could be they thought you were a member of the nefarious O'Kelleys MC.

 

Just my opinion, but I probably would have said, "How's it goin' fellas?" and seen what they had to say, as I made a mental note of the license plate and their faces.
