Nobody should really be surprised about this post. This dude has issues; his posts regularly reflect that IMHO. He chums the water to see what he can stir up, whether he started the thread or not. It seems he enjoys this type-written combat.

This is how I took it too.

 

I did the same thing once, about 20 years ago. Riding down the street, and a cat ran out about 10 feet away, in front of me. THUMP, THUMP... I stop, get off the bike and check out the cat. Poor thing was damn near death, laying there convulsing. I went around looking for the owner, no one was around. So I picked up the cat, put it in a shady place in the grass, and left. I did feel bad couse I couldn't do anything though. I have a real soft spot when it comes to animals.

 

pets belong inside or on a leash.

Bad cat.

 

Hence the term "shovel head".

 

[rant] There sure are alot of bleeding hearts here. What occured to me when reading the story was "stay in defensive mode until you are well passed any threat" as he wrote about coming out of defensive mode then hitting the cat. Next was the fact that he went out of his way to end the suffering of the animal and felt bad and needed to vent here about it.If he had posted " I hit a cat, then chasedit around until I beat it over the head with a shovel" his perspectiveand intentions would not have been clearlyrepresented and I could understand some cause for concern. Cut the guy some slack.[/rant]
