Default 91 sturgis special

Hey guys, i was looking at buying a wrecked 91 dyna stugis special. its really clean with only 8,000 miles and theres nothing major with it. it was tipped over and the only major damage is one side of the gas tank is pushed in, its missing 2 blinkers and theres some scrapes on the exhaust. i was wondering if you guys knew where maybe i could get some parts or what maybe the bike would be worth, it does have a salvage title. thanks!

A salvage title will kill the resale value. If you want to sell it later, that may come back to bite you in the ****.

yeah i know the salvage will kill me on resale, i have an 02 sporty now with salvage and i dont even consider trading at a dealer, but i want something a little bigger, and my brother sayd he would buy my sporty from me for what i have into it. so im just looking for something to ride, and hopefully since its on an online auction i can get it for a decent price and maybe turn around and sell it without loosing any money....who knows haha

Ok, let me "wallow" in where I really shouldn't here. I know that up here, Mn, you can "expunge" a salvage title. You need to first document the "problem", in this case the crash that caused it. Then, buy the parts from a reputable source,a nd KEEP ALL documentation. Also, taking pics is a GREAT benefit. Once you have restored said vehicle, you can then petition the state to have it inspected, and the title will be cleared.
