Hi guys can you help me out I am seriously thiinking about putting Apes on my 97 Road King or a fairingso I can listen to some music whileI am riding,however I am really leaning toward the Apes.

apes! however, be careful if u still want the fairing later as they may interfere. apes on baggers are cool but not sticking up way above a fairing.

Seriously, though...never had a fairing to allow me to "listen" to music (can you really hear it when you're at highway speeds?), so I can't answer to that. I can, however say that I just got the bike out last week and had 16's put on. First 20 miles or so took a little getting used to - never had them in 20 years of riding - but then really got to like them. Took the bike on a 200+ mile ride yesterday and had a helluva good time in the mountains. I guess its just gonna depend on what you want more, man.

Don't do it......you'll have to take constant abuse from members who don't have an F'ng clue about apes nor would understand. The same people who say "ewwww, those apes look stupid" are the same people who have LED accent lighting......fringe.....two tone PASTEL paint jobs.....stuffed animals hanging off their scoots.....chrome cover everything...well, you get the idea The people who live in glass houses thing......

Do what ya want......get the apes AND the fairing....your gonna love BOTH of them
