Default Tombstone Police Dept cuts riders some slack

I would like to thank those Tombstone, AZ police officers who cut us some slack last weekend. Incident #1: My buddy and I, both on Road Kings coming into Tombstone on the highway from Sierra Vista, were lit up by a patrol SUV. I thought we were screwed because we were having too much fun on those mild twisties. After we pulled over he approached us and explained to us the various speed limit zones in that area and let us go. Real cool guy.

Incident #2: Late at night, leaving Main St. in Tombstone and heading to his hotel, another buddy was lit up by a patrol car for going too fast. The officer just announced on the P.A. for my buddy to slow down and that was it.

Tombstone seems to be very biker friendly, at least last weekend anyway.

I wanna be a cop in Tombstone. If it was good enough for Wyatt, it's good enough for me.

Ride to Oracle a couple times a year to see my sister, and always run over to Tombstone. NEVER had any problem with Arizona LEO's. That is why my retirement house is built in Az.

My pd is like that when it comes to bikes and classic cars. Lots of coppers have bikes and old muscle.. Way to go Tombstone PD!

We had a good friend go down on the road you were on. Bad mojo, he was going home late at night, blinded by high beams, he went off the side. He did not survive, his girlfriend did. Cagers fly over those yellow lines all the time. Several of the "posse" as they are called in Tombstone, are riders, and most in this county are very forgiving!

Now the owner of the Crystal Palace...another matter. Threw me out just cuz I was swinging from the chandelier!! (in my younger years!)

Hope to see some of you in June. Those going to Tombstone please, be careful, there are more tourists in Tombstone now than ever ever, the traffic is crazy crazy.
