If your friends are like some of mine, you're gonna need a inflatable "party sheep".

Lockman---You didn't show them the outside of the garage! Thats the most beautiful part. Mine's a metal building that I've already filled to capacity.

Go as big as you can afford, space is always good. Also seal the floor makes it a lot nicer.
+ 1 to the idea of more space. This is what happens if you don't have enough...

RE: "Mans Space"...Garage Ideas
My garage/shop is right under my apartment. Its a two car deal, but it is totally dedicated to my bikes and tools....and some storage. I have a fridge, microwave, TV w/cable, heat and AC. This Summer I will be adding a motorcycle lift (I am getting too old to keep working with the bike jack and stool) and then it will be a done deal.
What I would recommend to you is....if your into wrenching at all, find the biggest (high quality....you dont want to have to buy twice) tool box you can afford....and then add another $1K to that for good measure....you can never have enough tool space.
Then decide what type of work you want to do on the bikes, and then buy the best quality tools you can find (again...you dont want to have to buy twice). Personally 90% of my tools are Snap-On.....and I have had a Snap-On "credit book" since 1982.....but I have never had to buy the same tool more than one time!
You could add as much creature comforts as you see fit......among all the other stuff I listed I also have a folding bed in my shop.....so when me and the GF aint seeing eye to eye I got a very cool place to get out of range of her guns. That alone makes her even more pissed, but that's my goal anyway.
Good luck and post a few pics when your done with the place.
