Default What is a Bagger?

Okay, at the risk of getting yelled at here, let me qualify that I think I know what a bagger is, however, I wanted to find out what the group thinks ofwhen presented with some ideas I've heard is conversations with other bikers. One of the most asked questions when removed from your ride is what do you ride? No offence to reads that don't have HD, but this is directed to HD riders. The common reply is usually, Softail, Dyna, Sporty, Fatboy, Bobber, Chopper, Custom, etc. and the topic of today,"Bagger". Now, grant it that any of the bikes listed can install bags, but my question is does this make your bike a "Bagger". What your take?

If it has bags that can be locked and are installed at the factory, then it's a bagger in my book.

To me, all FL models but I could go along with it being just all so-called Touring models thus excluding FL softails. I do not think the bags being lockable matters. I also do not understand why I am responding to this.

folks around here call my bike a bagger, and its a Fatboy. They also call Heritages baggers around here, and there seems to be a lot of them around here, more than Road Kings it seems. It seems the #1 bike around here is the Ultra - everyone and thier brother seems to have one around here.
